Kirk Whitefield, a 26-year veteran of the Lebanon Police Department (LPD), recently received the Unsung Hero of the Month Award for April from Ashley Scott, left, and Don Scott of Don Scott Insurance in Lebanon. LPD Chief Mike Justice, right, said of Whitefield, “Kirk is absolutely one of the most dependable and ethical people I’ve ever known. He has done his job for us for years that is flawless, and he never wants to be the center of attention.” Noted LPD Sgt. P.J. Hardy, “When it comes to tough cases, he’s our guy.”
